Ο πειραματικός χώρος Ανάμεσα παρουσιάζει την Τετάρτη 13 Νοεμβρίου στις 19:30 το Silent Move meet Haruna Kawanishi, ένα παράλληλο event στο πλαίσιο της έκθεσης “MakingMap”, της Ιαπωνέζας φωτογράφου.
Η φωτογράφος, σε έναν ανοιχτό διάλογο με το κοινό, θα μιλήσει για το έργο της. Στη συνέχεια, το σχήμα των Silent Move θα επενδύσει μουσικά την εικαστική αφήγηση της φωτογράφου. Ήχος και εικόνα σε μία διαδραστική σχέση, όπου οι συνθέσεις και οι αυτοσχεδιασμοί του ντουέτου των Γιάννη Παξεβάνη και Βασίλη Τζαβάρα θα προσεγγίσουν την κινηματογραφική προσέγγιση του έργου της Kawanishi.

Haruna Kawanishi
Γεννήθηκε το 1979, στο Τόκυο. Το 2002, αποφοίτησε από το Nihon University College of Art του Τόκυο. Την ίδια χρονιά ήταν παραγωγός και πρωταγωνίστησε στην ταινία “While you sleep”, η οποία προβλήθηκε μεταξύ άλλων στο 59ο Φεστιβάλ της Βενετίας. Από το 2005 ασχολείται επαγγελματικά με την φωτογραφία. Το 2008, συμμετείχε στο φεστιβάλ του Vendome, ενώ για τρεις συνεχόμενες χρονιές (2009-2011) απέσπασε τιμητικό έπαινο για την δουλειά της από τα International Photography Awards του Λος Άντζελες. Δουλειά της έχει παρουσιάσει στη Νέα Υόρκη, τη Γαλλία, την Ιαπωνία, τη Νορβηγία κα. Το 2010, επιλέχθηκε ανάμεσα στους “10 ανερχόμενους καλλιτέχνες της Ιαπωνίας” από το ιαπωνικό φωτογραφικό περιοδικό PHaT PHOTO.
Zει και εργάζεται στο Τόκυο. Είναι η πρώτη φορά που εκθέτει στην Ελλάδα.
Silent Move
Οι Silent Move (Γιάννης Παξεβάνηs / κιθάρες, tapes, loops και Βασίλης Τζαβάρας / κιθάρες, μπάσο, πιάνο, tapes, loops) σχηματίστηκαν το 2009. Οι δύο μουσικοί, έχοντας ήδη μια συνεργασία δέκα ετών σε διάφορες άλλες παραγωγές (ηχογραφήσεις, συναυλίες, μουσική θεάτρου, μουσική ντοκιμαντέρ), προτείνουν μέσα από το σχήμα των Silent Move διαφορετικές αναγνώσεις βωβών ταινιών, με μέσο τον μουσικό αυτοσχεδιασμό, τον ηλεκτρικό ήχο και τα εφέ. Οι Silent Move μέχρι τώρα έχουν επενδύσει μουσικά το αριστούργημα του F. Murnau “Nosferatu”, του C.T. Dreyer “Jeanne d’ Arc” και του J.Epstein “The Fall of the House of Usher”. Έχουν εμφανιστεί σε πολλούς χώρους στην Αθήνα και την Πάτρα, ενώ το 2012 διοργάνωσαν το 1ο και 2ο Φεστιβάλ “Αυτοσχεδιασμός και σινεμά”.
Τον Οκτώβρη του 2013, συμμετείχαν στο In Mute Festival, που πραγματοποιήθηκε στη Στέγη Γραμμάτων και Τεχνών, συνοδεύοντας την ταινία ”The Fall of the House of Usher.

Anamesa art center presents on Wednesday 13 November, at 19.30, “Silent Move meet Haruna Kawanishi”, a parallel event, as part of the photographic exhibition” Making map”, by the Japanese photographer Haruna Kawanishi.
The photographer, in an open dialogue with the audience, will talk about her work. Then, Silent Move will score and set music in the artistic narration of the photographer. Sound and vision in an interactive relationship, where the compositions and improvisations of the duo, comprised of John Paxevanis and Vasilis Tzavaras, will meet Kawanishi’s work.

Haruna Kawanishi
Born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1979. In 2002, she graduated from Nihon University College of Art. The same year, she produced and played the first role in the film “While you sleep” which was projected at the 59th Venice international film festival, as well as at UNCUT” festival in London, Bilbao (Spain), Hong Kong, Poitiers (France), Seoul, Singapore. Haruna Kawanishi got in photography in 2005. In 2008, she participated in the Vendome Photography Festival and was granted an Honorable mention for her work for three consecutive years (2009-2011) by the International Photography Awards in Los Angeles. In 2010, Christo και Simon Chaput presented her work in Alpilles-Provence’ art in France. She has participated in several group exhibitions, such as “Breezeless” at “Sous les Etoiles” gallery in New York, “TOKYO-GA meets NYPH 2012” during the New York Photo Festival and more. In 2010, she was elected among the 10 most upcoming artists of Japan from the Japanese photographic magazine PHaT PHOTO.
She currently resides and works in Tokyo Japan. It is the first time she exhibits her work in Greece.
Silent Move
Silent Move (Yiannis Paxevanis / guitars, loops, tapes and Vassilis Tzavaras / piano, guitar, loops, tapes) was formed in 2009. The two musicians have collaborated, for the last ten years, οn many different productions (recordings, concerts, scoring and setting music in theatrical productions and documentaries). Through Silent Move they are setting music in silent movies, using improvisation, electronics and sound effects, suggesting different artistic approaches to the movies. They have performed live music for Murnau’s ”Nosferatu”, Dreyer’s “ Jeanne d’ Arc” and Epstein’s “The Fall of the House of Usher”. They have performed in Athens and Patras and have organized, in 2012, the 1st and 2nd Festival “Improvisation and Cinema”. On October 2013, they have participated in “In Mute Festival”, organized by Stegi Grammaton kai Technon”, by setting music in the silent movie “The Fall of the House of Usher”.
