A two-day festival which sets out to highlight the powerful links between contemporary musical expression and silent film. Electronic sounds on the verge of noise, quiet melodies on acoustic instruments and frequencies at the extremities of the audible spectrum fill silent films’ mute, but intensely expressive, spaces. Lawrence English, Thomas Köner, Michalis Moschoutis and Silent Move will be embellishing legendary films by Eisenstein, Epstein, Flaherty and Sjöström with sound.
